The Boulder Samba School is a non-profit organization that promotes the rich heritage of Brazilian music, dance, and culture.  Founded in Boulder, CO in January 2009, it is the only organization of its kind in Colorado.

The BSS offers ongoing classes in Brazilian music and percussion for students of all levels and abilities, presents special workshops, sponsors clinics with guest Brazilian music teachers, and collaborates with the En Fuego Dance student and professional Brazilian dance troupes.

In 2012, the Boulder Samba School organized the first annual Colorado Brazil Fest, which featured three days of performances, classes, and workshops of Brazilian music, dance, and culture, culminating in a performance of Bateria Alegria with Ginga at the Boulder Theater.

The BSS is a member of the Boulder County Arts Alliance, which sponsors the 501(c)(3) non-profit status of the school.
